PRECAMBRIANS

2008 - 2009

Please note: These images are printed on archival paper in limited editions of 25.

These rocks, part of the Canadian Shield, formed during the Precambrian Era about 4 billion years ago.
Apparently, during the formation, the black, grey rocks and the rusty, pink rocks mixed forming interesting striated patterns.
The construction and widening of Hwy 69, around Parry Sound, Ontario, revealed beautiful abstract formations.

I am always looking for interesting lines, patterns, shapes, textures and so on.
These Precambrian rocks have all the above and for me it was a joy to photograph them and to end up with a feast of beautiful abstract images.
