| STATEMENT |
| I am not a creator. I know that the images already exist. All I do is to search for them, choose the ones I like and portray them to the viewer. Therefore, I am a producer of images.
Subject matter can be the human body, landscapes, nature or man made things. Although I have studied painting and sculpture, I find photography the easier way to express myself. I am drawn to bright colours and contrast but am equally at home with black and white and soft colours. Recently my work has begun to evolve and is perhaps returning to a more abstract subject matter, the seeds of which were originally sown during my years of early training. Like unfinished sketches, some of my abstract photos are incomplete until I fine-tune them using image-editing software. Do my images evoke tranquility or energy? I let the viewer's feelings decide. |
